Halloween (Snippet)

Sunlight glinted off the edge of the sword and shone directly into Viola’s eyes. She didn’t react in the way that the warrior was expecting as his many encounters with humans had made him predict. There was no fear or amazement in her eyes, she merely looked him over before turning her attention back to the garish window display she had been looking at. “You’re a little early for Halloween, but I suppose that we can still use you,” she commented. “There is going to be a tableau of different spooky figures and we can always include a figure of your physical size,” She grasped hold of his sleeve when he didn’t move, the action surprising him and said “Come on,”
